The week of Emilia-Romagna as protagonist at Expo Milano 2015

From 18 to 24 September Emilia-Romagna will be the queen of the Universal Exposition

During its week as protagonist, Emilia-Romagna will present itself to the world with its quality farming, its excellent products, its businesses, culture, tourism along the Via Emilia, most beautiful villages, innovation, schools, music, solidarity, international cooperation... and much more.

It will present itself with a large international forum to reflect on nutrition and sustainability of resources. The World Food Forum (22 and 23 September) is a strategic project of the Region, conceived for Expo but that will live beyond the Universal Exposition. The other moment of international discussion is related to the Climate Chang-ER project (21 September), a project to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by the agricultural systems of Emilia-Romagna. The two international conferences are also tools that give value to the Region's participation at Expo 2015 that will not be merely a global marketing and promotion showcase of the region.

The programme also includes opportunities for innovative start-ups (in a day dedicated to industrial research and innovation) and a meeting with international delegations to present the excellent industries of the region. In the week as protagonist the “Bologna International Sustainability & Food Award 2015”, sponsored by the Region and the Municipality of Bologna for the "Bologna, city of food" project, will be presented.

An international conference will reflect on cooperation in agriculture. Moreover, the region will also be taking to Expo Milano 2015 the youngsters of various Hotel and Catering and Agriculture institutes, as well as the many operators protagonists of tourism on the Riviera, in the Apennines and along the entire Via Emilia. As well as giving voice to cities, villages and great chefs. The issues of food design and occupational safety will also be discussed. Each day will end with an artistic moment, a concert or theatrical performance. And, of course, a tribute to the maestro Giuseppe Verdi
